Sympathies to all who have been affected in this double tragedy
Laura Victoria Coulling, 35 the girlfriend of suicide victim Stuart Hedley who died in 2016 has sadly ended her life also on a train track.
Laura who had been struggling with the death of Stuart had earlier attempted to end her life on the same stretch of track as her partner but was obstructed from doing so by railway staff. Mr. Hedley, who was a car mechanic killed himself, aged 34, on a section of the railway near Ipswich, Suffolk, in 2016. Ms. Coulling finished her life on another train track in Southampton on May 24 of this year.
Winchester Coroner’s Court heard Ms. Coulling had been boozing with friends at a pub in the city on the day of her death. The Anchor Pub landlord Wayne Woods stated that she had been in ‘good mood on the last day of her life. He said he was conscious about Ms. Coulling, who was a regular at his pub, she had been experiencing depression but said her actions as very out of character.
